The Manchester City coach clarified that his statement is not politically charged and does not side with any party, but rather stems from a purely humanitarian stance. He considers that defending the lives of innocents and rejecting violence should be a universal position, regardless of location or background.

Guardiola is known for frequently expressing his humanitarian views outside the football field, having previously used his sports platform on several occasions to voice his concerns about the escalating conflicts and humanitarian crises around the world.
