We Suffered a Lot Against Barcelona, Happy to Qualify for the Final

Atlético Madrid managed to qualify for the Copa del Rey final after winning on aggregate against Barcelona, in an exciting match that witnessed immense pressure from the Catalan team trying to compensate for their 4-0 loss in the first leg. Marcos Llorente was one of the standout stars of the match, expressing the difficulty of the game and his happiness with the qualification.

Llorente said: ‘We suffered a lot, they pushed with all their strength and they were only one goal short, a very great team with their fans. In the end, we got the result and qualified for the final.’

He continued: ‘I think after their 4-0 loss in the first leg, they had to attack with all their might. They are a great team, the mental aspect is very important. We knew this could happen and that we would suffer. The team knew how to endure, we held up against the successive attacks.
