Sloot: We Lose Many Matches and Lose Points, We Have Something to Prove on Friday

Liverpool coach Arne Slot appeared in a press conference following the 2-1 loss against Wolverhampton in the 29th round of the English Premier League, at Molineux Stadium.

The coach said: “It’s a bad result, a disastrous first half, a better second half. In the second half, there was more enthusiasm, and we got closer and closer to scoring a goal. Then we conceded a goal the first time they reached our penalty area. We responded quickly, first with a shot that hit the post, then through Mohamed Salah, and we almost scored the winning goal twice.”

He added, “In the end, we conceded a goal from a deflected shot, which wasn’t even a real chance.”

He emphasized, “We didn’t give them many chances, and we created more opportunities than they did, but the result was another 2-1 loss.”

He added: “We are losing many matches and dropping points. Did we concede another goal in extra time? All three of our losses in the last 22 matches were in extra time.”

He concluded about facing Wolverhampton again on Friday evening in the FA Cup: “Yes, and that’s a good thing because we have something to prove on Friday.”
