We Have Presented All Available Evidence Regarding the Vinicius Incident

Real Madrid issued an official statement regarding the case of their star player Vinicius Junior, who was subjected to racial abuse by Benfica player Gianluca Prestianni during their UEFA Champions League playoff match.

The club stated: “Today, Real Madrid submitted all available evidence to the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) regarding the events that occurred last Tuesday, February 17th, during the UEFA Champions League match our team played in Lisbon against Benfica.”

He added, “Our club has fully cooperated with the investigation conducted by UEFA regarding the unacceptable acts of racism that occurred during that match.”

He continued: “Real Madrid expresses its gratitude for the immense support and love that our player Vinicius Junior has received from all segments of the football world.”

He concluded: “Real Madrid will continue to work in collaboration with all institutions to eradicate racism, violence, and hatred in sports and society.”
