Villarreal Moves to Sign Bilal Nadir from Olympique Marseille

The Villarreal management has initiated serious moves to sign the Moroccan midfielder Bilal Nadir, who plays for Olympique Marseille, in preparation for acquiring him in the upcoming period.

According to Spanish and French press reports, the management of the Spanish club views the 22-year-old player as a suitable addition to the midfield, due to his activity on the field and his ability to develop, as well as his flexibility in occupying multiple positions.

Part of this interest is due to Nader’s contractual situation, as his contract with Marseille extends until June 2026, while there are currently no clear indications of a renewal. This grants him the right to negotiate with any other club in preparation for a free transfer starting next summer.

The same data indicates that the communications between the player’s representatives and the Spanish club have reached advanced stages, after Villarreal’s management received initial approval to proceed with the deal. This makes the team the closest to securing the player’s destination if he decides to embark on a new experience outside the French league.

Although Marseille had previously renewed Nader’s contract in 2025 to shield him from offers, the approaching end of the agreement has brought his name back strongly into the transfer market, opening the door to a potential move that could represent a significant milestone in his professional career.
