According to Sky Germany, Arsenal are exploring a surprising Deadline Day move for Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali, although a deal will be extremely difficult at this stage as Newcastle have rejected an initial approach.

09:02: Brajan Gruda completes RB Leipzig move from Brighton

German winger Brajan Gruda has completed a loan move to Bundesliga side RB Leipzig until the end of the season from Premier League club Brighton. Seagulls boss Fabian Hürzeler said, “Brajan wants regular football, and we are not able to guarantee him that in the second half of the season, so this loan represents a good move for all parties.”

The big news of Deadline Day looks to revolve once again around Liverpool and a centre-back. The Reds have agreed a deal for the summer to sign young Rennes CB Jérémy Jacquet. The fee Liverpool will pay is expected to be around €60m plus €10m in add-ons, with personal terms agreed.

Wolves are set to complete a loan move for Marseille’s England midfielder Angel Gomes. Talks have been ongoing between the clubs over a return to the Premier League for the former Manchester United player.
