Torreau Grants Bencharki and Belamri Important Roles in Al-Ahly’s Formation

The head coach of Al Ahly, Danish Jes Torup, has decided to make changes to his team’s lineup ahead of their match against El Gouna, as part of the 18th round of the Egyptian Premier League.

Press reports revealed that the coaching staff is leaning towards relying on Moroccan Ashraf Bencherki alongside Hussein El Shahat to lead the wings, given the recent absences that have affected the team.

The same sources explained that in the past period, Ben Sharqi participated alongside Taher Mohamed Taher in the wingers’ position due to the absence of the duo Ahmed Sayed Zizo and Mahmoud Trezeguet because of injuries, which led the coach to settle on this offensive option.

In the same context, the Moroccan international Youssef Belamri is close to starting as a left-back in the match against El Gouna, following his good performances in his appearances against Ismaily and the Royal Army.

The report concluded that Torop is considering giving Belamri a chance in the starting lineup instead of Ahmed Nabil Kouka, a move that could strengthen the Moroccan player’s presence in the team’s lineup in the upcoming stage.
