He added: “Now you see Mbappe as a complete player and they say he has become this or that, but there are many things we have lost and cannot compensate for.”
He continued: “Which parent would accept their child leaving home at this age and not returning? This is what happened with us. His story was a beautiful project, but when I explain it to some parents, they can’t understand it.”
The father of the French star concluded that Mbappé’s professional beginnings with Monaco at a young age allowed him to mingle early with big stars, which accelerated his football and personal maturity.
