Referee Appointment for Real Madrid vs Getafe in La Liga

The Spanish Football Federation officially announced the appointment of the referee who will officiate the match between Real Madrid and Getafe, scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium at 10 PM Cairo time as part of the Spanish League competition. Alejandro Muñiz will be the main referee, while Valentín Pizarro will take on the role of video assistant referee.

Alejandro Muniz has previous experience with Real Madrid, having officiated five matches for the team in the first division, during which the team achieved three wins, one draw, and one loss. The defeat against Espanyol last season angered the club due to Romero not being sent off after a tackle on Mbappe, which sparked widespread criticism from Real Madrid fans and the team’s official media, starting with Real Madrid TV.

In the current season, Muniz officiated the match between Real Madrid and Sevilla, which ended with a victory for the white team. The Andalusian club criticized his decisions, including the sending off of Marcao and coach Almeida, as well as awarding a penalty that sparked protests from Sevilla and resulted in the second goal for the royal team.

As for his experience with Getafe, Alejandro Muniz managed ten matches in La Liga, during which the team achieved three wins, three draws, and four losses. He has not managed any match since the 2024/2025 season.
