Real Pressure is Outside of Football

Croatian coach Igor Tudor, the manager of Tottenham Hotspur, emphasized that the pressures faced by coaches and players in football cannot be compared to the real pressures faced by people in other, more sensitive professions.

Tudor explained in his statements that football is ultimately just a sport, despite the significant attention it receives and the media hype that accompanies it. He pointed out that the frequent talk about pressure in the world of football is sometimes exaggerated.

The Croatian coach added that real pressure is experienced by people who strive daily to provide for their families, or those who work in professions directly related to people’s lives.

Tudor concluded his remarks by emphasizing that doctors, for example, bear enormous responsibilities in operating rooms, where their decisions are a matter of life and death. This makes the pressure in football much less compared to those professions.
