Pep Guardiola’s daughter dated England ace and worked for Victoria Beckham | Football | Sport

Maria, 24, the eldest daughter of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and his ex-wife Cristina Serra, previously had a brief relationship with former England international Dele Alli and has also been employed by Victoria Beckham. Guardiola and Cristina, who split after three decades together, also share two other children: Marius, 22, and Valentina, 17. However, it is influencer Maria who has captured public attention.

Boasting over 800,000 Instagram followers, Maria has established herself as an emerging talent in the fashion industry. She also attracted notice for her fleeting romance with ex-Tottenham midfielder Dele. The pair were believed to be dating after being photographed kissing at a London establishment in 2021. Their liaison proved brief, though, as Dele subsequently started seeing Cindy Kimberly, whilst Maria was seen with singer Conor Maynard in February 2024.

Maria’s passion for fashion stems from her mother, whose family operate an upmarket boutique named Serra Claret in Barcelona, retailing prestigious designer labels. Following her A-Level examinations at St Bedes, Maria obtained a BA in Fashion Business from Istituto Marangoni London in 2023.

Maria has shown willingness to begin at entry level in her selected career path. She allegedly undertook a sales assistant position at her mother’s establishment before completing an internship with Victoria Beckham and joining the sales division at Helmut Lang.

She subsequently worked as a retail and licensing coordinator at Manchester City. Maria and Guardiola’s two other children are now dealing with their parents’ separation.

The pair, who married in 2014, are understood to have reached the decision in December but chose to keep it under wraps. Towards the end of last year, reports emerged that the Manchester City manager’s wife had departed their family residence.

Spanish podcast Mamarazzis suggested the couple have been living apart since 2019, with the strain of a long-distance arrangement starting to take its toll. Cristina is believed to have remained in their home city of Barcelona, whilst Guardiola resides in an upmarket £2.7million apartment in Salford.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, Maria provided insight into life as the daughter of one of football’s most recognisable figures. Her father’s remarkable career as both a player and a manager has seen Maria live in Barcelona, Rome, Brescia, Qatar, Mexico, New York, Munich, Manchester and London.

She said: “Moving so frequently gave me a great deal of self-confidence, which I don’t think I could have gained in any other way at such a young age. I also fondly remember that sport was a big part of my childhood. Following my father around the world to watch matches created special memories and brought the family very close together.

“Given the hectic pace of my parents’ careers, we didn’t get to see each other much. All our moves have revolved around his career, first as a player and then as a coach. Football has shaped much of our family’s journey.”
