Napoli Prepares to Renew Scott McTominay’s Contract

The Italian club Napoli is preparing to start official negotiations with the Scottish midfielder Scott McTominay to renew his long-term contract, after he has become one of the key pillars in the team’s recent successes under the leadership of Antonio Conte, according to the newspaper ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’.

McTominay, who played a pivotal role in Napoli’s crowning as the champions of the Italian league, has scored 9 goals this season, 5 in the league and 4 in the Champions League, reflecting his increasing importance within the team.

The player’s current contract ends in June 2028, but Napoli’s management seeks to secure his future early before any potential offers from major European clubs, especially with the approach of the World Cup, which could increase his market value.

The club plans to extend the contract until 2030, with an increase in his current salary of 3 million euros net per season plus bonuses, in line with his growing role within the team.
