Mohamed Wahbi Appointed as Coach of the Moroccan National Team

The Moroccan Football Federation announced on Thursday the appointment of Moroccan coach Mohamed Wahbi as the head coach of the national team, succeeding coach Walid Regragui.

The Moroccan university announced the departure of Walid Regragui from coaching the national team after a successful four-year tenure at both the global and continental levels.

The announcement was made during a farewell ceremony organized by the federation to bid farewell to Regragui, where the federation’s president, Fouzi Lekjaa, confirmed that the selection of Wahbi was made based on confidence in his abilities to lead the team in the upcoming phase.

The Moroccan national team is preparing to participate in the World Cup finals next summer.
