Marseille Nears Signing Moroccan Sofyan Karkouani

European press reports have revealed that the French club Olympique Marseille is close to finalizing the signing of Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat, a player from the Dutch club Utrecht, during the current transfer window.

Sources reported that Marseille’s management has entered advanced stages of negotiations with Utrecht officials to acquire the Moroccan left-back, as part of the French club’s efforts to strengthen its squad with ready players capable of making a contribution in domestic and continental competitions.

Marseille’s interest in Krawani came after his consistent performances with Utrecht in the Dutch league, where he displayed a balanced performance both defensively and offensively. This attracted the attention of several European clubs before the French team made clear moves to secure the deal.

The player’s transfer is expected to see decisive developments in the coming hours or days, as the Croatian player is eager to embark on a new experience in one of the major leagues, particularly the French league, which has previously seen the success of several Moroccan players.

If the deal is completed, Sofiane Al-Karwani will be a new addition to Marseille’s lineup and an important option for the coaching staff in the left-back position, relying on his European experience, physical ability, and tactical presence.
