Liverpool: Dominik Szoboszlai statement released on Real Madrid transfer | Football | Sport

This followed Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jnr revealing in a YouTube documentary that he maintains regular contact with Szoboszlai, having formed a friendship with the 25-year-old earlier in his career. Whilst the Liverpool midfielder still has over two years remaining on his current deal, the Reds are eager to reward him for his development, having established himself as their standout performer this season after contributing to their Premier League title triumph last campaign.
Szoboszlai recently confirmed that discussions are continuing and has voiced his ambition to prolong his stay at Anfield.
Now his representative, Matyas Esterhazy, has moved to clarify matters by stating the Hungarian captain is “not looking elsewhere”.

“It’s completely normal for the public, when Dominik is performing like this, to talk about what’s next and if there’s something higher,” he said, speaking to Hungary news outlet NB1.
“So at the moment to talk about what will happen in the summer in my opinion is not correct.
“Not to mention, Liverpool are one of the biggest clubs in the world and Dominik is in a position within the team that has a lot of reserve, so we are not looking outside or elsewhere.”
