Lens Overwhelms Metz and Ignites French League Race

Lens secured a significant victory over their guest Metz with a 3-0 win in the match held as part of the 25th round of the French league, continuing to put strong pressure on the league leaders Paris Saint-Germain.

Lance asserted control from the beginning of the match and succeeded in opening the scoring before the end of the first half through player Saud Abdulhamid in the 44th minute, following continuous offensive pressure that unsettled Metz’s defense.

In the second half, the home team didn’t wait long as Florian Thauvin added the second goal right in the 46th minute, before Massadio Haidara strengthened the lead with the third goal in the 52nd minute, allowing Lens to settle the match early and affirm their clear dominance throughout the game.

With this victory, Lens increased the pressure in the title race, having reduced the gap to just one point behind Paris Saint-Germain, who lost to Monaco 3-1. This intensified the competition for the top spot in the league with several rounds remaining until the end of the season.
