Laimer Comments on Stalled Contract Renewal Negotiations with Bayern

Austrian Konrad Laimer commented on reports about the halt in negotiations to extend his contract with Bayern Munich, confirming that talks are not active at the moment but he is not worried. He said: “There aren’t many talks at the moment. I am still relaxed, and it shouldn’t be overthought,” in a statement to Sport Bild.

According to press reports, negotiations are temporarily halted as the club’s initial offer did not meet the player’s financial expectations. It is said that Laimer currently earns around 8–9 million euros annually, including bonuses.

Laimer, who joined Bayern in 2023 with a contract extending until the summer of 2027, has become an important element in the team thanks to his versatility in midfield and defense, having participated in over 100 matches wearing the club’s jersey.

The player’s statements indicate no urgency or tension regarding his future, as he prefers to focus on his performance on the field and leave the contract matters to the management. This suggests that the renewal issue may be resolved later without significant pressure from either side.
