Injury of Maze Worries Leverkusen and Threatens His Participation with Algeria

German media reports have revealed new developments regarding the injury of Algerian international Ibrahim Maza, which he sustained while playing for Bayer Leverkusen.

The Bild newspaper reported that the Leverkusen management is concerned after the player complained of severe pain in the thigh area, which necessitated undergoing medical examinations to determine the nature of the injury and the potential duration of his absence.

The newspaper indicated that the club has not yet determined the duration of the player’s absence from the field, as they are awaiting the final test results, which opens the door to the possibility of a potentially long absence.

If his absence is confirmed, it could mean he will miss the upcoming training camp for the Algerian national football team, which would be a technical setback for coach Vladimir Petkovic, especially since Maze has become a key player in the team’s lineup recently.
