I Wasn’t Satisfied with the First Half, Happy with Bernal’s First Goal

Hans Flick, the coach of Barcelona, expressed partial satisfaction after the 3-0 victory over Real Mallorca at Spotify Camp Nou in the 23rd round of the Spanish League. He confirmed that the team improved significantly in the second half after a slow start.

Flick said: “I wasn’t satisfied with the first half; there was no dynamism, and the passes were slow. But in the end, we scored three additional goals and secured three more points. It’s a good day for us.”

He continued: “We talked about positioning during the break, and on Thursday against Atletico, I will see a different team in the first minutes of the match. We didn’t have the right attitude in the first half, but we improved in the second.”

Regarding the goal scored by Marc Bernal, Flick said: “It’s great for him to score his first goal with Barcelona. After the injury, he has been coming back step by step, and this goal will be good for him.”

Flick added a comment on the young players: “Of course, this is our way of working. It’s good for the club and La Masia. Tommy has a lot of potential, and I’m happy he managed to play some minutes. I think it’s a dream come true for him. We can also see the relationship between the players; they have played together at La Masia.”

Flick concluded his remarks by referring to Casado and the team’s management: “Now we are playing many matches, we see how the players are professional, focused, and giving their all. Casado deserved to play, everyone is participating well, and this is the foundation of success.”
