Galatasaray retain an interest in Manuel Ugarte, although a deal is viewed as incredibly unrealistic. The 24-year-old has struggled badly since moving to Manchester United from PSG for €50 million in 2024 and he’s been linked with an exit during the January transfer window. There’s been substantial links to Gala and they’ve re-emerged on deadline day with several Turkish journalists suggesting a deal could still be pursued.

The window for Süper Lig clubs remains open until Friday, February 6 but the chances are unbelievably slim that United would sanction a sale without being able to sign a replacement. Michael Carrick is short of options in centre-midfield with Ugarte providing back-up to the starting trio of Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes. It’s understood that United would have allowed Ugarte to leave earlier in the window but they won’t sanction a sale with just a couple hours left for English Premier League clubs.
