The culmination of Transfer Deadline Day has concluded the January window. Premier League clubs have splashed out hundreds of millions of pounds throughout the month. Manchester City emerged as the heaviest spenders, shelling out nearly £85million to secure Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace and Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth. Regarding transfer dramas, few have been as acrimonious as Jean-Philippe Mateta’s bid to depart Crystal Palace.

He informed Oliver Glasner’s squad of his desire to leave and witnessed potential moves to Nottingham Forest and AC Milan crumble at the final moment. Near the window’s conclusion, Liverpool also delivered a significant transfer setback to Chelsea.
