Down to the last four teams in TM’s UK club followers Cup – who is biggest?

Vote on semi-finals on Instagram! 

It’s time for the United Kingdom football fans to have their say. At Transfermarkt we have released our very own UK club followers cup on Instagram. It began with the round of 32 last Wednesday. Included in the competition were the 20 Premier League clubs, the four clubs in the Scottish Premiership with the highest squad market value, and the eight clubs in the Championship with the highest squad market value. So if your club was not included, they need to get their values up!

The teams were then seeded based on their market values, with the most valuable squad (Manchester City: €1.29 billion) playing the least valuable (Hibernian: €20m) and so on and so forth. We have now reached the semi-final stage. As illustrated in the graphic below, the two match ups are: Manchester City vs Liverpool and Manchester United vs Arsenal. To get behind your team and help them make it to the final, head to the UK Transfermarkt instagram page: @transfermarkt.co.uk and head to their stories to vote on each tie.

Each round, we will reveal who has crashed out and who has made it one step further, as we determine the biggest team in the UK! Who will reign victorious? In the round of 16, the tightest game yet took place with Aston Villa beating Tottenham by just 30 votes. The semi-finals will be played this Monday, February 9 so get over to our Instagram today to have your say. The final will then take place later this week.
