Diaby’s Injury Raises Concerns in Al-Ittihad Camp
Doubts have surrounded Diaby’s position on participating in the match scheduled for next Tuesday, as part of the seventh round of Group B competitions in the continental championship.
The Saudi newspaper ‘Al-Riyadiyah’ revealed that the player missed Al-Ittihad’s recent training sessions due to an injury he sustained during the match against Al-Nassr in the league.
The newspaper clarified that the chances of Moussa Diaby participating in the match against Al-Gharafa have become slim, given his ongoing suffering from the effects of the injury and his incomplete recovery so far.
Al-Ittihad had suffered a loss against Al-Nassr with a score of two goals to none, in the match that brought the two teams together as part of the twenty-first round of the Saudi Roshn Professional League.
Al-Ittihad is preparing to undergo an important Asian test against Al-Gharafa, while it occupies the sixth place in its group standings with 9 points.
In contrast, Qatar’s Al-Gharafa enters the confrontation in ninth place with 6 points, increasing the importance of the match for both teams in the race for qualification.
