Date of Fermín López’s Contract Renewal Ceremony

Barcelona has scheduled a ceremony for the renewal of its player Fermín López’s contract. The midfielder will speak to the media on Friday at 3 PM Egypt time, following the official extension of his contract until 2031.

According to the Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo,” Barcelona announced that Firmin will hold his press conference at the club’s official store within the Spotify Camp Nou facilities, in celebration of renewing his contract, which includes doubling his salary and extending the agreement for an additional two years.

The newspaper confirmed that this renewal reflects the Catalan club’s confidence in the player, who is considered one of the most developed elements of the team in recent seasons. He has become an important player in coach Hans Flick’s plans after Xavi Hernandez gave him his first-team debut in the summer of 2023, following his previous season on loan at Linares in the first division.

The report added that renewing Fermín López’s contract not only confirms Barcelona’s commitment to him but also blocks attempts by major clubs to sign him, after Chelsea had made a substantial financial offer to acquire him last summer.
