Coenda Prepares Early for His Experience with Chelsea

The 18-year-old player benefits from the advanced medical facilities of the English club as part of his recovery and preparation for the next stage.
Last year, Cuenda agreed to join Chelsea in a deal worth around 40 million pounds from Sporting Lisbon, with the condition that he would complete an additional season with the Portuguese club before officially transferring to the “Blues.” The player is currently focused on finishing the season strongly with his team, which is competing with Porto for the Portuguese league title.
Coenda hopes that his performance in the final months of the season will enhance his chances of making the Portuguese national team for the 2026 World Cup, given the strong competition for attacking positions in the team.
During his time in London, the young player is taking the opportunity to acclimate early to life in England. He is working on improving his English, completing some administrative procedures such as finalizing documents, and searching for a new home.
He also had the opportunity to get to know Chelsea players and the coaching staff, while preparing two plans for his first season at Stamford Bridge: one in case he participates with Portugal in the World Cup, and the other if he is not called up.
