Carrick Proud of Manchester United’s Diversity After Ratcliffe Statement Controversy

Michael Carrick, the interim manager of Manchester United, expressed his pride in the club’s provision of a comprehensive work environment based on diversity and mutual respect. This comes after the controversy stirred by British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who made statements claiming that the United Kingdom “has been colonized by immigrants.”

Despite his statements causing controversy, the English Football Association decided not to take any disciplinary action against Ratcliffe, merely reminding him of his responsibilities when participating in media interviews.

For his part, Ratcliffe offered a limited apology, saying he was “sorry if the choice of his words upset some people in Britain and Europe.”

Carrick declined to comment directly on Ratcliffe’s statements, but he emphasized that the club embodies the values of respect, equality, and diversity, noting that Manchester United has made a significant global impact over the past years.
