Borussia Dortmund Announces Brandt’s Departure at the End of the Season

Official: Borussia Dortmund Announces Brandt’s Departure at the End of the Season
The club’s sporting director, Lars Ricken, confirmed that the decision came after mutual discussions between both parties, where it was amicably agreed not to extend the contract. He explained that Brandt contributed significantly to the club during his time there, noting that the club is very grateful for what the player has offered throughout his career with the team.
Brandt joined Dortmund in 2019 from Bayer Leverkusen and has played nearly 300 matches for the team. He is considered one of the club’s most prominent attacking midfielders in recent years. This season, he has participated in over 30 matches across various competitions, scoring ten goals and assisting several others.
Although his next destination has not been announced yet, reports indicate that several foreign clubs are interested in signing him after his departure, allowing the player to begin a new chapter in his career after spending seven seasons with Dortmund.
