Benjamin Sesko ‘not happy’ after saving Michael Carrick’s Man Utd run | Football | Sport

Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko was pleased to salvage a point with his late goal against West Ham, though he admitted being “not happy” with the draw. Sesko came off the bench in the 69th minute at the London Stadium and struck deep into stoppage time to earn a share of the spoils.
Michael Carrick was on the verge of suffering his first loss since taking charge as interim head coach last month until Sesko netted with a stunning finish following a cross from Bryan Mbeumo at the London Stadium. Sesko maintained his composure after his equaliser and rallied his team-mates to prepare for the restart, pushing them to pursue victory, though they ultimately had to settle for a draw. “I’m happy with the finish, but I’m not happy with the draw,” he told TNT Sports.
“Unfortunately we were a bit unlucky but we fought until the end. We are a great team together. We are working together. We are always fighting. Today was important to get a draw because they were dangerous on the counter-attacks. We managed to finish it at 1-1.
“We feel amazing. We are doing everything together. When difficult moments come, we are stepping together which is really important.
“I think we just have to keep on going like we have been doing in the last games. We have to take care in every situation. To be focused and be on point and then when the chances come, to finish them.”
United are not playing this weekend following their FA Cup exit at the hands of Brighton. The Reds’ next match is against Everton in the Premier League on Monday, February 23.
