Bellingham and Mbappe Near Participation with Real Madrid

A report published by the Spanish newspaper ‘AS’ revealed the proximity of Real Madrid players Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham to returning to daily training in Valdebebas and joining the team under the leadership of coach Álvaro Arbeloa.

The players are not expected to participate in the first leg against Manchester City, but the club aims for their return for the second leg at the Etihad Stadium on March 17.

The newspaper explained that Mbappe and Bellingham sought trips outside Spain to obtain a precise diagnosis and treatment plan, as other Real Madrid players have done on previous occasions. Although it attracts attention since they are key team members, it represents a routine procedure within the recovery protocols at Valdebebas in recent years.

The report confirmed that the royal club relies on the best diagnosis and treatment plan that makes the player feel comfortable, and the travel of Mbappe and Bellingham is not exceptional as portrayed in some media.

The same source indicated that the participation of either player in the first leg of the round of 16 against Manchester City has been ruled out, and Mbappe’s left knee is responding to treatment. Despite previous thoughts of his return to participation on Wednesday, the reality confirms the necessity of adhering to the previously set period of three weeks.

The newspaper confirmed that the primary goal for all parties is to overcome the health issues that appeared in early December, which have prevented Mbappe from playing naturally until now.

The report noted that English player Jude Bellingham was expected to recover by late March. However, the current response to the treatment he is undergoing and the gradual recovery of the semitendinosus muscle in the left leg suggest the possibility of his reappearance against Manchester City after his injury against Rayo Vallecano on February 1.
