Barcelona Takes a Firm Stance Against the Complaint Filed Against It

FC Barcelona has issued an official statement in response to the complaint filed by one of the club’s members to the Spanish National Court, accusing the club’s management of money laundering and imposing illegal commissions, according to what was published by the Spanish newspaper ‘Mundo Deportivo’.

The club confirmed that all these allegations are completely untrue and announced that it will take appropriate legal action against the member or members involved due to filing a false complaint, document forgery, slander, and all that entails.

Barcelona also indicated that it will consider legal actions against the media outlet that published the news, knowing that the complaint is based on false information and documents, and without presenting the club’s version.

The statement added that the club will make all available information at its disposal to the electoral committee to verify the situation’s authenticity and warn candidates of the consequences of spreading false news and information during the electoral process.

The club concluded the statement by emphasizing that publishing this news in the context of elections may be an unlawful attempt to alter the course of the democratic process, one of the club’s core values, aiming to influence the sovereignty of the club’s members.
