Barcelona Receives a Major Blow Before Facing Atletico Madrid

Barcelona Club received a major blow before the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final against Atletico Madrid, scheduled for Tuesday, March 3 at 10 PM Cairo time at the Spotify Camp Nou stadium.

The blow came in the wake of the absence of their Polish striker Robert Lewandowski from the match due to an injury he sustained in the team’s last game against Villarreal, which increases the difficulty of the task for the Catalan team after the heavy 4-0 defeat in the first leg at the Metropolitano Stadium, according to the Spanish newspaper ‘Mundo Deportivo’.

Medical examinations revealed a bone fracture on the inner side of the left eye socket, which will keep Lewandowski out of the lineup for the second leg, increasing the pressure on Barcelona to make up the significant deficit in front of their fans and try to turn the tables in their favor.

The match comes amid a tough challenge for the Catalan team, which seeks to deliver an exceptional performance to make up for the heavy defeat, while Atletico Madrid aspires to maintain its advantage and secure the qualification ticket to the Copa del Rey final.
