Arbeloa Develops Special Plan for Asensio

Coach Álvaro Arbeloa is keen on managing the physical condition of young defender Raúl Asensio in the coming days, as the player is experiencing physical issues due to his frequent participation this season.

According to the Spanish newspaper “Marca,” Arbeloa will work in the coming days to ensure Asensio’s readiness to participate in the match against Valencia, as part of the 23rd round of the Spanish League, scheduled for next Sunday.

According to the technical and physical plan, Arbeloa may choose to rest Asensio in the match against Real Sociedad on February 14, for the 24th round of La Liga, in order to avoid any physical fatigue and give him enough time to recover.

This cautious management of the player’s fitness comes as part of the coaching staff’s efforts to prepare him in the best possible way ahead of the anticipated match against Benfica, in the first leg of the playoff qualifying for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16, at Estádio da Luz.

The Royal Club hopes to have Antonio Rüdiger back as soon as possible to give Asensio more rest.
