Anthony Gordon Makes History in UEFA Champions League with Newcastle

With this achievement, Gordon reached 10 goals in the tournament this season alone, surpassing the record of club legend Alan Shearer, who scored 7 goals in his career with Newcastle in the Champions League, thus becoming the all-time top scorer for the Magpies in the tournament.
Gordon also became only the second player in the history of the UEFA Champions League to score four goals in the first half of a single match, after Brazilian Luiz Adriano with Shakhtar Donetsk against BATE Borisov in October 2014, reflecting his offensive brilliance and exceptional speed in seizing opportunities.
This historic performance and the four goals he scored against the Azerbaijani team bolster Gordon’s position among the top names in the Premier League and Europe.
