Ancelotti Monitors Endrick after Loan to Lyon

The Brazilian player Endrick continues to attract attention with his outstanding performance for Olympique Lyon, following his loan move from Real Madrid. So far, he has scored 5 goals and provided one assist in 430 minutes in the French league.

His brilliance is receiving extensive coverage in Brazilian media, while Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti has expressed complete satisfaction with him, affirming his great confidence in his abilities despite being patient with him during his first season with the Spanish team.

The loan is considered a crucial step for Endrick to ensure regular participation before the 2026 World Cup, especially given the competition for his position with prominent players like Richarlison, Joao Pedro, and Cunha, in addition to other names like Gabriel Jesus and Igor Jesus.

Endrick confirmed that Lyon was the perfect choice to reopen his opportunity to be in the World Cup, explaining that he spoke with Ancelotti before the move and received advice to enhance his level: “Yes, I spoke with Ancelotti and he gave me advice to improve my level as a player. He told me: go, develop your game, I want you to be happy.”

Ancelotti, for his part, highlighted the importance of Endrick continuing to play regularly to achieve his athletic development, affirming the possibility of his participation in the current World Cup, and even in the 2030 or 2034 editions in the future: “It’s important for him to play and prove his abilities.”

It is noted that Endrick amazed Brazilian fans before turning 18, becoming the fourth youngest player to participate with the national team at the age of 17 years and 3 months, the fifth youngest to score an official goal, and the second youngest participant in the Copa America at the age of 17 years and 11 months.

He also scored in his first appearance with the national team against England at Wembley Stadium, and then against Spain at the Bernabeu, marking historic beginnings close to the numbers of the legend Pelé.

The loan return to Lyon has brought Endrick back into the spotlight, and he is now closer than ever to participating in the World Cup. Meanwhile, Ancelotti continues to closely monitor him in both France and Brazil.
