Al-Hilal Moves Strongly to Retrieve Saud Abdulhamid

Press reports revealed that the Al-Hilal management made a substantial financial offer to Saud Abdulhamid, including an annual salary of up to 40 million riyals, in an attempt to persuade him to return quickly.
The same sources indicated that the player has given his initial consent to wear the Al Hilal jersey again, but negotiations are still ongoing among all parties to finalize the details of the deal.
On the other hand, Frederic Massara, the sporting director of the Italian club Roma, confirmed that his club has not received any official communication from Al Hilal regarding the purchase of the player’s contract so far.
Masara indicated that Al-Hilal might have first obtained Saud Abdulhamid’s approval before entering into direct negotiations with Roma’s management in the upcoming period.
Saud Abdulhamid transferred from Al Hilal to Roma in the summer of 2024 for $3 million, before being subsequently loaned to the French club Lens until the end of the current season.
Al Hilal aims to bring back the player to strengthen the right-back position, following the transfer of Portuguese player João Cancelo to Barcelona on loan until the end of the season.
Al Hilal tops the Saudi Professional League standings with 46 points, three points ahead of Al Nassr and Al Ahli, in a fierce competition for the top spot in the league.
