A Single Condition Separates Rashford’s Stay in Barcelona

The 28-year-old player is with the Spanish team on loan from Manchester United until June 30, 2026.
The sources confirmed that Rashford’s permanent transfer to Barcelona would be possible upon activating the purchase clause valued at 30 million euros, with an agreement to pay the amount in three annual installments of 10 million euros each to Manchester United.
The sports management in Barcelona clarified that the final approval of the deal is contingent upon verifying the compatibility of the player’s salary impact with the financial commitment standards of the Spanish Football Federation, whether a contract is signed for three years or a maximum of four years, given that the player is nearing the age of thirty.
The report indicated that Rashford is happy to be at Spotify Camp Nou and feels that he has plenty of room to continue developing and regain the high level he previously showed with Manchester United, which boosts his chances of staying with the team next season.
Sources also confirmed that the club does not need any additional negotiations with the player’s representatives, as all terms were agreed upon since the signing of the loan contract last July, including salaries and future entitlements, making Rashford’s continuation with Barcelona after the 2026 World Cup highly likely.
