Tottenham transfer news: Attacker ‘enquiry’ made amid Robertson plan | Football | Sport

Tottenham and their fellow Premier League rivals have just hours left to complete any deals in the transfer window with the 7pm deadline approaching. Spurs have already been active in the window, completing incoming and outgoing deals.

So far, they have wrapped up moves for midfielder Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid and full‑back Souza from Santos. As the window enters its final stretch, securing attacking reinforcements is expected to be one of Spurs’ main priorities. Reports claim the club have looked at players such as Marmoush, Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche and the injured Savinho, but whether an attacking move materialises in time remains to be seen.

Speaking after Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Manchester City, Spurs boss Thomas Frank said: “I have plenty of support. We are definitely still in the market. We hit a little bit hard with injuries but let’s see.”

With that said, the Express has taken a look at the latest transfer news from in and around the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Brahim Diaz ‘enquiry’

According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham are one of the Premier League clubs to have enquired about the Real Madrid player’s availability. His long-term future under new manager Alvaro Arbeloa has been put into doubt since returning to the club following the Africa Cup of Nations.

Despite enjoying a standout tournament with Morocco, the 24‑year‑old is said to have slipped to the fringes under Arbeloa, whose early team selections have offered the playmaker few chances to impress. Those closes to the player admit they see ‘little chance’ of that situation improving any time soon.

As a result, Diaz’s representatives have started ‘discreetly sounding’ out the market, contacting clubs across Europe to gauge potential interest ahead of a possible move.

Andy Robertson ‘plan’

Express Sport’s sister title, football.london, reports that Spurs could make ‘a late check on Andy Robertson’s status’. Liverpool are understood to have held initial talks with Tottenham last week over a possible move for the left‑back, who is out of contract this summer.

Robertson is believed to be seeking more regular minutes ahead of the World Cup, but the Reds have been unable to recall Kostas Tsimikas from Roma. Liverpool boss Arne Slot has since indicated he expects Robertson to remain at Anfield.

“He will be part of the team and nothing is happening on this side,” Slot said. “It’s hard to say anything definite in this world we are in but I expect him to stay.”
