Bernal Surpasses De Jong in Passing Accuracy with Barcelona

According to the Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo,” the young midfielder recorded the highest percentage of accurate passes for Barcelona during the match, despite playing only for half an hour. He succeeded in 15 out of 16 passes, achieving an accuracy rate of 93.8%, surpassing Frenkie de Jong, who finished the match with a 91.2% accuracy rate after 60 passes in 90 minutes.
The newspaper added that these numbers reflect Bernal’s approach to his best levels, which he showed at the beginning of the 2024/2025 season, noting coach Hans Flick’s praise for his continuous development and his full confidence in his abilities to be an important element in the club’s future.
This performance boosts Marc Bernal’s chances of securing an influential position within Barcelona’s system in the coming period, given his increasing reliance on precision and calmness in building play from the midfield.
