Arsenal ready to use two players in Alvarez swap deal as Real Madrid ace eyed | Football | Sport

Arsenal are gearing up for their next Premier League clash with Leeds United this weekend, but they may also be keeping an eye on the transfer deadline on Monday. The Gunners have until February 2 to finalise any potential new signings. Arteta and his team are aiming to bounce back from their loss to Manchester United last week. Despite their defeat in the domestic league, Arsenal managed a victory over FC Kairat in the Champions League midweek. Now, their focus shifts back to the Premier League and their pursuit of the title.

In terms of transfers, Arsenal are linked with several potential new recruits, although it remains uncertain whether any new faces will join before Monday’s deadline. Express Sport provides a roundup of the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours that have been making headlines in the past 24 hours…

Reports suggest that Arsenal are keen on signing Atletico Madrid star Julian Alvarez. TEAMtalk has reported that the Gunners are interested in Alvarez, with hints that some players might be included in the deal going the other way.

The report suggests that Arsenal have been regularly scouting Alvarez in recent weeks, and two players are being considered as part of a potential swap deal.

It has been reported that Arsenal would be prepared to offer Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus as part of a swap arrangement to bring in Alvarez, though not until the summer transfer window.

Eduardo Camavinga interest

Arsenal are among the clubs said to be monitoring Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga.

According to Caught Offside, the Gunners will go head-to-head with Liverpool for Camavinga’s signature in the summer, though it remains uncertain whether the Spanish giants would approve his departure at this point.

Liverpool are cited in the report as showing the most significant interest currently, but Arsenal are also understood to be exploring options to bolster their midfield, with Camavinga identified as a possible target.

Camavinga is believed to be valued at around £86million (€100million), though it has also been suggested that Real would be reluctant to part with the midfielder at any price.

Zinchenko ‘completes medical’

Oleksandr Zinchenko is said to be nearing a permanent departure from Arsenal.

Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph has reported that Zinchenko has now undergone a medical ahead of joining Ajax, with a permanent transfer close to completion.

Zinchenko spent the opening half of the campaign on loan at Nottingham Forest, but is now poised to leave Arsenal permanently for a move to the Eredivisie.
