Lamine Yamal Elevates Barcelona Academy’s Value to the Top

Barcelona topped the list of clubs with the highest market value for academy players with professional contracts, totaling an estimated £640.1 million, according to Football Observatory data. This figure reflects the continued excellence of the “La Masia” academy in producing talents capable of competing at the highest levels.

Notably, the report highlights that Lamine Yamal alone has a market value of around 335 million pounds, which is more than half of the estimated total value of the academy players at Barcelona. This underscores the significant impact of the young star in boosting the overall standing of the Catalan club.

Manchester City came in second place with a total value of £247.9 million from 16 players, followed by Bayern Munich in third with £246.4 million, then Real Madrid in fourth with £221.6 million, while Arsenal ranked fifth with a value of £203.9 million.

The list also included Chelsea in sixth place with a value of 192.6 million, and Athletic Bilbao in seventh with 182.7 million, noting that the valuations include players loaned to other clubs, reflecting the depth of long-term investment in talent development within these clubs.
