Man United injury list: Players out, potential return dates, predicted lineup for next game vs. Arsenal

Michael Carrick takes Manchester United to Arsenal on Sunday for his second game as interim head coach.
Ruben Amorim was sacked on January 5, the day after a 1-1 draw at Leeds United after which the Portuguese went public with his apparent frustrations at the way things were being done at the club.
Darren Fletcher took charge for the 2-2 Premier League draw at Burnley and the 2-1 FA Cup third-round defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion — a result that effectively ended any remaining hope of silverware this season.
Now, Carrick will be tasked with leading the charge towards UEFA Champions League qualification and a desperate attempt to salvage something from another miserable season at Old Trafford. He started in strong fashion with a derby win over Manchester City, but visiting the Gunners is about the toughest test there is.
Here is how their injury list looks, when they can expect players to be back, and what their predicted lineup looks like for their next game.

Below is the latest injury picture for Man United, and estimated return dates for those who are sidelined.
Joshua Zirkzee
- Injury: Knock
- Expected return date: February 1 (vs. Fulham)
Zirkzee missed the derby because of a knock, and after missing training earlier this week, he is unlikely to be involved at Arsenal. The forward may be ready for the Fulham game on February 1, assuming he does not agree to a move away from United in the final week of the transfer window.
Matthijs de Ligt
- Injury: Lower back
- Expected return date: February
Amorim said De Ligt had been suffering back pain following the 2-1 win at Crystal Palace on November 30, and the centre-back has not made the matchday squad since. Carrick said on January 23 that the problem had taken longer than expected to heal, with De Ligt’s return unlikely before the middle of next month.
