On Monday, the English Premier League market value update landed and there were significant changes to some of the biggest stars in the world. In total, 225 players had their valuations adjusted in relation to several factors; including form, transfer interest and age. Dominik Szoboszlai, Rayan Cherki and Morgan Rogers were amongst the biggest winners, while Erling Haaland remained the most valuable Premier League player at €200m.

Conversely, Alexander Isak received the biggest downgrade of €20m with the Liverpool striker now valued at €100m. The total market value of clubs’ squads also altered slightly as players increased and decreased in value. Bournemouth were the biggest winners (+€60m) with Tottenham, unsurprisingly, the biggest losers (-€73m) and we’ve now analysed the most valuable squads in the Premier League.
The most valuable Premier League squads
Interestingly, Manchester City leapfrogged Arsenal to now possess the most valuable Premier League squad after the March update. Pep Guardiola’s squad’s overall value increased by 1.7% to €1.31 billion due mainly to the January additions of Antoine Semenyo and Marc Guéhi. Arsenal are the overwhelming favourites to win the title but Mikel Arteta’s men dropped in value by 2.9% to €1.23b – Martin Ødegaard and Bukayo Saka both received €10m downgrades.
As the graphic above illustrates, Chelsea rank third after receiving a slight upgrade to their current valuation of €1.18b with Liverpool in fourth at €1.02b. Tottenham complete the top five, which further highlights their horrendous underperformance this season with relegation an increasingly realistic possibility. Manchester United’s overall squad value increased by €35m but they remain below Spurs. Burnley, Wolves and Leeds are the bottom three sides based on market values and that could also be the clubs that are relegated to the English Championship.
