Postponement of the Paris Saint-Germain vs Nantes Match in the French League

The French Football League announced the approval of Paris Saint-Germain’s request to postpone their match against Nantes, which was part of the 26th round of the French league and was scheduled for March 15.

The decision comes after Paris Saint-Germain is set to face an important match against Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League. The English team will host them on March 11 before PSG visits them in London on the evening of the 17th of the same month, with a time gap of no more than 48 hours from a local league match. This prompted the club to request a postponement to ensure optimal preparation for the home and away matches in the Round of 16 of the continental tournament.

The French League Association stated on its official account on the “X” platform: “At the request of Paris Saint-Germain, and in order to ensure optimal preparation for the home and away matches against Chelsea in the Champions League Round of 16, the association’s board of directors, in coordination with Nantes, has decided to schedule the Paris Saint-Germain vs. Nantes match for the week starting April 20.”

The association added: “The date and time of the match will be determined later.”
