Champions League knockout phase draw result, bracket for Round of 16 and beyond in 2026

The draw for the Champions League knockout phase takes place on Friday at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
Playoffs to determine the final eight teams in the Round of 16 were completed on February 24 and 25, as Norwegian club Bodo/Glimt followed up their league-phase wins over Manchester City and Atletico Madrid with a stunning two-leg victory over last season’s finalists Inter Milan.
City and Atletico are among the usual suspects of European heavyweights in the last 16, while Arsenal will hope to kick on from a perfect league phase of eight wins out of eight.
Liverpool are also in contention, although Arne Slot’s men found out last year that dominating the league phase can count for little, as they were knocked out out by eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain in the Round of 16.
As they did last season, Luis Enrique’s side were forced to take on a fellow Ligue 1 side in the knockout playoffs after failing to finish in the top eight, edging past Monaco 5-4 on aggregate.
Below, The Sporting News details how the bracket played out all the way to the final.
