The Team Was Great, and the Fans Were Exceptional

Luis Enrique, the coach of Paris Saint-Germain, confirmed that his team’s recent match against Monaco was very difficult after conceding an early goal, praising the team’s overcoming of challenges and the performance of his young players.

Enrique said: “It was a special match because we conceded a goal from the first attack, then the opposing team gained confidence, and it was difficult for us to regain our balance because we lost confidence quickly, but I believe we managed to overcome the ordeal.”

He continued: “The team was fantastic because it was very difficult to handle the situation. Naturally, it was tough. We are a very young team, but we carry additional pressure, which is the necessity to win every match.”

He added, “I want to thank our fans. I have never seen, either as a player or a coach, a crowd like this. Thank you to them; this match was for them.”

Enrique praised his player Désiré Doué’s performance, saying: “Désiré Doué faced a lot of criticism last week. He is an amazing player, and I am very happy for him because he deserves this performance, and this is very important for us.”
