Officially.. Marseille Announces Departure of De Zerbi from Team Coaching

Olympique Marseille officially announced the termination of its cooperation with the first team coach Roberto De Zerbi by mutual consent, according to a statement published by the club on its official website.

The statement clarified that the decision came after discussions involving all concerned parties in the club’s management, including the owner, the president, the sporting director, and the coach, where it was agreed to make a change at the head of the first team’s technical staff.

The club indicated that the decision was collective and difficult, taken after careful consideration, in the interest of Olympique Marseille and in response to the sporting challenges associated with the end of the season.

Marseille also thanked De Zerbi for his dedication, commitment, professionalism, and seriousness, confirming that his efforts were clearly evident in finishing the 2024/2025 season in second place.

The club concluded its statement by wishing the Italian coach success in his future career.
