My family always supports me, and communicating with them eases my pressures

Fermin Lopez, the midfielder for Barcelona and the Spanish national team, has become one of the key pillars of the Catalan team after his outstanding performances with the team in recent times.

Lopez explained that he initially faced difficulty adapting to the academy’s requirements, but gradually succeeded in proving himself and securing his place in the team. After a loan period to Linares Deportivo in 2022, he returned to become part of the first team, where he became an influential element in the midfield.

In exclusive statements, Fermin Lopez said: “At first, I struggled a bit because I missed my family and friends, but they treat you excellently and provide all the facilities for your development as a player and as a person. I’ve made great friendships.”

He continued: “My family is very humble and always supports me in everything, instilling in me to remain humble. Thanks to them, I handle everything with greater calmness and normalcy.”

He added: “Despite the distance, I maintain daily communication with my parents, and they are more astonished than I am by everything happening to me. They always tell me to keep working because I still have a lot to achieve.”

The player pointed out that his parents suffered a bit when he moved to Linares, but he feels great happiness seeing them proud of what he has achieved. He said: “They struggled a little when I had to move to Linares, and now I feel especially happy for them.”
