Early French Struggle Over Moroccan Talent Ali Maamar

Moamer is 20 years old and is under contract with Anderlecht until the summer of 2028. His market value recently increased to two million euros, due to the significant development he has shown this season.
French media reports have revealed that Paris Saint-Germain has entered the race to sign Ali Maamar, as part of its search for future solutions at the right-back position, especially given the repeated absences of Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi due to injuries.
On the other hand, Olympique Marseille has been monitoring the player for several months, placing his name among their priorities to strengthen the defense during the upcoming summer transfer window, which signals a strong competition between the giants of French football to secure his services.
Who is Ali Muammar?
Ali Maamar was born in 2005 in Belgium to Moroccan parents, which gives him the legal eligibility to represent both the Belgian and Moroccan national teams. He chose to wear the Atlas Lions jersey at the youth level.
Muamer began his football career with the clubs Lierse and Mechelen before joining the Anderlecht Academy in 2019 on a free transfer. He was promoted to the first team last year, participating in 39 matches across various competitions, during which he scored two goals.
On the international level, the player has participated in 28 matches with the Moroccan youth team, during which he provided two assists, affirming his status as one of the most promising rising talents in Moroccan football.
