Newcastle Loses and Continues to Decline in the English Premier League

Newcastle United lost to their guest team Brentford with a score of 2-3 in the 25th round of the English Premier League, in a match that was thrilling until the final moments.

Sven Botman opened the scoring for Newcastle in the 24th minute, before Vitaly Janelt equalized for Brentford in the 37th minute. Igor Thiago then gave the visitors the lead from a penalty before the end of the first half, while Bruno Guimarães managed to equalize for Newcastle in the 65th minute. However, Dango Ouattara snatched the decisive winning goal for Brentford in the 85th minute.

This result adds to Newcastle’s struggles this season, as the team has dropped to twelfth place in the Premier League standings with 33 points.

On the other hand, Brentford rose to seventh place with the same tally of 39 points, ahead of Liverpool on goal difference, boosting their hopes of competing for spots that qualify for European tournaments.
