Officially .. Celtic Signs Chamberlain

Scottish club Celtic officially announced the signing of English midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on a contract that runs until the end of the current season, with an option to extend for an additional season, in a free transfer deal.

The player is 32 years old and has previously represented the England national team in 35 international matches, during which he scored 7 goals.

Oxlade-Chamberlain began his career at Southampton’s academy before playing for the first team, where he made 43 appearances and scored 10 goals. He then moved to Arsenal in 2011, where he spent six seasons, played nearly 200 matches, and won three FA Cup titles.

In 2017, he moved to Liverpool, where he won several championships, most notably the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League, the League Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup. He then transferred to Turkish club Beşiktaş in 2023, where he won the Turkish Cup.

Celtic coach Martin O’Neill expressed his happiness with the deal, affirming that the player possesses great experience and the ability to add a new dimension to the team. Meanwhile, Oxlade-Chamberlain stated that he is excited about the new challenge and feels that Celtic is the perfect place to regain his best form and contribute to achieving the club’s goals.
